India or Bharat is the seventh largest country by geographical area in the world. Officially called the Republic of India, the country is also the largest democracy in the world. India is bound by the oceans from three sides which include the Indian Ocean on its south, the Arabian Sea on its west and the Bay of Bengal on its east. India is also the second most populous country in the world next to China. Pluralism is the essence of Indian culture.
